Safety at 321 Squadron

All staff of 321SQN have a primary commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all cadets, staff and visitors at 321SQN. Together with the cadets, we are committed to implementing a safety management program within 321SQN and the AAFC.

Our AAFC staff and cadets can expect to enjoy a safely conducted, challenging, adventurous, Air Force based training program and associated activities. Achieving this requires a sensible balanced program to be established between managing any risk and any inherent danger in our pursuits, and avoiding risk altogether by not undertaking an activity which we deem to be dangerous.

AAFC safety awareness is the state of mind that must underpin everything we do. Staff and cadets must report hazards, near misses and injuries. Supervisors must be “safety conscious” by implementing and managing safe practices in all activities.

All these responsibilities are not negotiable. We all have a duty of care!

Both AAFC and RAAF/ADF safety information can be accessed from the Safety Download area of this website.
